In designing Lumen, the newest collection in the J.Hannah fam (!), I kept thinking about the qualities that come from matching seemingly disparate materials: sleek, architectural, weighty gold paired with milky, feminine opal.
Lighting designers have historically paired the two — and I love the way the the collection's dendritic opal adds an element of soft earthiness to the precise gold shapes. It’s a vibe that’s a little bit 70s interiors meets Versailles romanticism, structured but relaxed.
