Places: Tucson Gem Show
Last week I traveled to Arizona for a pilgrimage to the Tucson gem and mineral show — the largest and oldest show of its kind in the world. Spent the days exploring the city and getting overwhelmed by gemstones; here's a brief snippet of the trip, and some of my picks for a trip to Tucson.
To stay:
We rented an amazing Air Bnb in the Barrio — Krysta, the owner, has several properties in the neighborhood (see them all here) and there are some other great Adobe home Air Bnbs nearby (but book very early if you're planning to go for the show). For a hotel, the Arizona Inn is a historic, amazing space.
